(TN- Don't forget to give a read my story too! https://www.scribblehub.com/series/73722/carried-over-achievements/ )

 Early morning, in February 26,1936

"Please get up, Fujimiya-sama. It's already in the morning~"

"Nggh~....let me sleep another 5 minutes..."

 ガバっ!
*GABA'!* (Onomatopoeia for something sudden, such as your blanket got pulled off of you)

"Get up immediately!"

"Hie! I-it's cold!"

Suddenly stripping me off the futon, this idiocy, who dares do such thing?
What if my heart stops from being surprised!?

This person is a failure of a lady attendant. Seriously, this is making me angry!

"The outside has become a snowscape since this morning!"

"What!? It was snowing?"

"Yes. It was snowing heavily"

Aaah, was that so. Come to think of it, it was snowing on the day when 2/26 incident happened, wasn't it?
I wonder why there were a lot of turning points in history which happened on snowy days, even on the day when the 47 Ronin raid the Kira-tei residence was also snowing, wasn't it?

Although I don't know other events except these two which happened on snowy days.

 No that's not it,

"Does something strange going on at Daruma-san's residence?" (Referring the assassination plan towards Takahashi Korekiyo which would happen on this date, read the wiki)

"Are you referring to The Financial Minister Takahashi's residence? There's nothing special in particular happening there"

"What about over the Prime Minister's office, Ministry of War, and General Staff's headquarter?"

"No, I haven't received any particular reports that something is happening over there"

"Really... that's great~~"

It seems that because the Control Faction and Imperial Way Faction had been purged from within the military, and the Aizawa incident didn't even happen, I avoided the 2/26 incident.

"I beg your pardon Fujiyama-sama, but the way you've said that was as if a coup d'etat has occured"

"That kind of possibility exists, isn't it"

"Surely it is because recently the state of affairs of the military were suspicious"

"It's the best if nothing happen"

"That is true. This peaceful everyday is the best"

Did you say that everyday is this good of a day? But, even if spears raining from the sky or in this case bombs raining from the sky, because I can't possibly think such things as a good day, my state of mind is far from being at peace.
In other words, a peaceful state of mind can be said as a person who had a flower garden in their brain who ignored and didn't want to face reality.

Namely, worldy desires BANZAI!

 In other words,

"Let's make a snow daruma-!"

I have avoided the 2/26 incident with great pains, and have became a child, so it's a shame if I don't play!

That's what I thought while feeling relieved...

 February 27, 1936. Early morning.

"Fujimiya-sama, it's terrible!"

"Nggh~.... another five minutes..."

"It's a coup! Coup d'etat!"

 ガバっ!
*GABA'!* (SFX for suddenly waking up)

"What!? A coup d'etat?"

Why? Why did the coup d'etat occure a day later?
Was it unwise of me to be negligence once I overcame a history's historical fact?

How did it become like this?

Is this the correction power of history, the one called as backlash?
Or is this somekind of God's mischief or God's will...?

 But,

Don't joke with me! I won't accept such a thing!
Because a history, an era, is something that people who are living today is creating.

Although it's ridiculous coming from me who is a foreign element.

 That's not it,

"How is Daruma-san? Is he alright?"

"Two-squads scale rebel army came to Minister of Finance Takahashi's residence, but they were repulsed.

 Phew~, was the THOMPSON useful?

It's better to apply for license production, because it seems that the Thompson's submachine gun is easy to use.
If it couldn't, copy it without permission!

Ah, but, the supply for its ammunition might be the bottleneck, isn't it.
As far as I remembered, was the type 38 standard infantry rifle was using the 6.5mm bullet, while the type 99 which got manufactured after this was using the 7.7mm bullet?

Well, the Thompson's submachine gun is using bullet type similar to pistol, so it couldn't use rifle's bullet.

However, making the rifle bullets as uniform as possible would make it more convenient one way or another.
Because the type-38 had already been deployed en massed, and soon the sub-machinegun would follow, I wonder is it better to consolidate the bullet to 6.5mm?

Or, U.S forces specification's 7.62mm bullet would be good too.
And in the unlikely event of a war against the United States, the plundered ammunition could be used as it is!

Look, even Sun Tzu said something like 'one must use the weapon snatched from the enemies' wasn't he?

To be able to reuse the weapons and ammunitions, what an eco-friendly to the global environment!

There is certainly room for consideration in this issue.

And then, should I considered about the compatibility issue of aircraft's gun too?
Ah, but, the peashooter of fighter plane's 7.7mm machine gun, bomber and reconnaissance plane's 7.7 rotating machine gun wasn't too useful and became obsolete soon anyway.

That is to say, the Browning M2 me waaaaaaaaaant!
6 12.7mm machine guns are man's romance! Although having 4 20mm cannons are fine too.

By the way, it's not the time to have delusions about this and that like this.
Right now, I have to deal with the 2/26 incident which is occuring a day late.

"Is there any other thing to report?"

"It seems that there is a shoot-out in Miyakezaka"

Given that the guards for VIP and key points were cordial since last summer, does it mean that the coup faction had a hard time gaining total control of the Ministry of War and General Staff headquarter?

"How many people were participating in the coup?'

"Although I am not well-informed of the details, it appears that they numbered from 500 people to around 700~800 people"

 Un?

It feels like the number of soldiers participating in the coup was smaller in comparison to the historical fact.

Because, if my memory wasn't mistaken, there were close to 1500 officers and men taking action in the 2/26 incident.

This was probably due to the purging of Imperial Way Faction's commissioned officers which decreased the scale of the coup.

"I am going out!"

"Fujimiya-sama, that is dangerous!"

"If I were to stay shut inside the mansion just because it's dangerous outside, I would be tarnishing the name of the royal family which is the most important thing of a nation!"

"Even though you can leave such thing to the army"

One part of that army was the one who raised a revolt you knoooooow!

"Who is the one in command of the army?

"Um, it is His Majesty....."

 統帥権をキチガイな軍人どもの玩具にされて堪るものですか!
Is the commander-in-chief the one being toyed by the crazy soldiers!? (Doubtful translation)
『統帥権干犯』この言葉を錦の御旗なんぞには、絶対にさせません。
I won't let [Infringement on the power of the commander] be put on the Brocade's flag. (Doubtful Translation)

Now that I think about it, the military personnels in this era were beyond help, they were quite easily offended.
Why to that extent, for what reason the army was being tyrannical? Since we are thinking to protect our own country, can't we removed our selfishness? I myself don't really understand.

Without the cooperation of each and everyone in the homeland, the soldiers and the like wouldn't be able to shoot even a single gun.

Is it the era? Is the atmosphere of this turbulence era the one that made the soldiers gone mad?
Even though the Japanese people were supposedly docile farmers?

Ah, however, I think it was similar to the Kamakura samurai's madness.

Then, should I imitate the Retired Emperor Go-Toba?

 N?

I feel like the Retired Emperor Go-Toba was the one who got swet away in near Oki islands, wasn't he?

 Well, whatever I guess.

More than that, it's important to prepare my heart.

"Noblesse Oblige. The duty of the nobles. If I don't do it at a time like this, what's the royal family is for!?"

To begin with, the content of this Sakurako-chan is just a middle-aged man who has no relation with nobles whatsoever, a humble soul so to say.
 それは言わぬが花ということで。
That's not something a flower should say. (Doubtful translation)

 It's a secret okay?

"Fujimiya-sama, you have grown up to be a splendid lady...it fills me with emotion!"

"Because the royal families going on a trip to those places is the best way to subdue the confusion"

"Understood. I, too, shall accompany you"

 Off to the battlefield!

 Sakurako-chan, depart.
